Artist description
Fresca without the after-taste! Energetic and melodic, the Tramps' constant focus is on the music -- allowing the band to propel themselves on technique without forgetting about the songs and the emotions that ground them -- defining so-called "power ballads" with sweeping presence and intriguing lyrics. |

Artist History
The Tramps of Panic were dubbed by Candlebox drummer Dave Krusen [formerly of Pearl Jam]... God only knows where Dave thought up the name. Formed in the Winter of '91 by original members Roy Romans, Jerry Burch, Charlie Detrick, and Tim Valley (son of Paul Revere and the Raiders guitarist Jim Valley), the band's moody presence garnered them a great deal of attention leading them to being rated the second best show of the year by Rock Notes in '93. Rock Notes also rated two other Tramps of Panic shows numbers 3 and 10 of the years "Top Ten," making the Tramps of Panic the only band to have three shows rated in the Top Ten for the year.
The Tramps have set attendance records at numerous venues and captured the consideration of many in the mainstream and alternative media, including the covers of The Underground and Pandemonium Magazine, along with many assorted other mentions. They have also harvested their share in radio playing KNDD's Young & The Restless series, opening for Green Jello on a KXRX live simul-cast, and getting much appreciated spin from college stations across the nation. |
