Artist History
Since forming in London in the early '90s, the RGM have been flying the flag for full-on family funk in front of sell-out crowds around the country.
Always intent on entertainment, they have evolved a live sound which Kiss FM recognised as the Best Original Music in 1997.
The eight piece experience learned their craft as house band at The Wag for the seminal Acid Jazz club, Leave My Wife Alone, under the watchful eye of Mother Earth's Bunny.
After much experimentation and a string of front men and women, EQ emerged as The Man and has been working with The RGM for two years, perfecting their unique blend of jazz funk and rap. Iffy's powerful soul vocals provide the perfect counter and complete the vocal line-up.
The RGM, well known for their impeccable live performances, soon progressed through the ranks of London clubs and last year sold out four massive nights at the highly-regarded Jazz Cafe, Camden.
The Random Groove Movement will be releasing their first single this year on their own label - JazzFunk Records - and there will be preview tracks available on this site.
