Artist description
Truly Unique. A bastard child born of squeezing fifty years of popular music of all styles, into contemporary machines, both analogue and digital, then spat out the other end through a wall of harmonies that surround memorable melodies, with lyrics that have a pertinence. Ah! songs with something to say! Remember them? |

Artist History
Willie Dowling...Singer-Songwriter-Producer. All professional life working with music in TV/Film/ Record Production. Last band was 'HONEYCRACK' signed to EPIC records, making one album 'PROZAIC', toured Europe supporting Alanis Morrissette, before splitting the band in 1997. Having become thoroughly dis-illusioned by the main stream music industry. Returned to writing music for television, (British sit coms 'HOLDING THE BABY' and 'Armstrong & Miller' comedy sketch show) plus occasionally producing records for other bands, while recording the SugarPlumFairies album during quiet days. The new technology of the Internet was intriguing and so a band was formed around the 'SugarPlumFairies' album which was complete in early 1999, and they started gigging in April 1999, selling the album 'FRUIT KARMA' through the bands own website, www.sugarplumfairies.co.uk. Anxious to avoid the same industry pitfalls that were made time and time again over the previous years, the band are keen to explore all new avenues of reaching a wider audience, without having to compromise the diverse nature of the material they perform. |

THE TIP SHEET 'Industry "Rag" serving UK labels. Raving. Saying sign us up..... Not this time. We won't go!
As for Weeklies. Whats the point in telling you. So far, they've all been brilliant reviews but we all know that they'll swing round at random so to remember the good ones and quote them, would qualify the crap to follow.
