Artist description
Needlefish is a high energy aggressive alterno-rock power trio based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. With killer guitar riffs, powerful vocals, and lyrical honesty, along with relentless style and energy, singer/guitarist Ross Swanton, bassist/backing vocalist Dean Stein, and drummer Ryan Douglas have sparked major label interest, have been featured in various publications such as the online music magazine “Tourdates.com”, and have shared the stage with several other top Winnipeg bands as well as major Canadian acts such as See Spot Run.In their three year existence, Needlefish have built up a rock-solid stage performance, and their live shows have been compared to that of Finger Eleven. In 2000, Needlefish finished in the Top Five out of over one hundred bands in the 92 CITI FM / Pyramid Cabaret "Search for RA NRG III”, and have their song “Five Or More” featured on two compilation disks released in 2001 (the Search for RA NRG III and Studio 11 Tunes V_1.0 cd’s).Needlefish’s upcoming debut CD entitled “Trouserplough” promises to be filled with the same relentless energy as their live performance, featuring the huge rock hooks of “Under”, the irresistible chorus of “Everything”, and the raw aggression of “Ditch Pig”. Watch for this disk to be released in the very near future. Keep your eyes open and heads up as well, ‘cause Needlefish will be exploding on a stage near you!!For more information about the band Needlefish, please email: Needlefish@email.com |
