Artist description
Joy Machine is a quartet of electronic musicians from the Connecticut area. Our primary goal was to create great synth-pop which is evident in our music. Our style could be compared to Depeche Mode or Erasure, as products of the 80's I'm sure we brought a little of everything from that era into the project.I hope you get as much out of listening to our songs as we did writing them. |

Artist History
Formed in Connecticut around 1988 under the moniker "Heads Up Display" After visiting England in the same year we got the idea that there weren't enough good US Synth-pop bands and the rest is history. Joy Machine broke up in 1996, but Tim and Kris Heireth have gone on to form Brand New Idol along with Frank J. Freda. Check them out at http://www.mp3.com/brandnewidol. |

Press Reviews
Listen.Com - "Joy Machine recreate the most jubilant moments of '80s Synth Pop, but cannot restrain the introverted dark side of the genre which pours from their many layers of synths and resonant vocals" |
