Artist History
Jed Davis was born in 1913 in the Deep South. He moved to New York City at an early age and hovered around Tin Pan Alley and Harlem, absorbing the sounds at the corner of Broadway and jazz. Jed's song "Piece of Crap" was an international smash in 1932 as he stood poised for a stardom that would not come for more than half a century.
Shot by bootleggers in 1933, Jed was sent to our time by a life-saving Indian Shaman. Now, trapped on the cusp of the millennium, Jed sings and plays keyboards for New York electropunk band Collider. |
