Artist History
“With my face plastered against the fiberglass casing of the engineering room, I was pummeled by the theatrically trained vocals, the fast moving guitars and thundering drums. Perched on either side of the stage were a couple of long hairs toting Ibanez guitars like fully loaded assault weapons ready for a high-noon showdown. In the back sat Craig, the drummer of Full Circle, he absolutely destroyed the place. Had the building not have been recently rebuilt, I feel he would have reduced the bar to rubble. With awe-inspiring vocals and a truly at-home stage presence, Full Circle rocked.”
Just one of the many high energy shows Full Circle has been performing since their inception in 1997. Armed with the blazing guitar work of Brad Watson, the thundering bass of Keith Trayer, the insistent drums of Craig Cottrell and powerful vocals of Tommy Krell, Full Circle is clearly the premier rock band in Colorado, pleasing audiences with their melodic, guitar driven songs and unshakable vocal hooks. The undeniable chemistry of Full Circle is evident on their debut disc “Self-Titled” and follow up disc “Night and Day”. Often called “Denver’s Hottest Original Rock Band “, Full Circle has been compared to the likes of Metallica, Queensryche, Guns and Roses, Iron Maiden, and other modern progressive artists. Full Circle’s live following continues, winning Colorado State University’s battle of the bands and subsequently playing live on CSU’s radio station and at the university’s “Green and Gold Explosion” festival. With excellent reviews from Sweden’s “Catchy Hooks” and Germany’s “Strutter Magazine”, Full Circle has been bombarded with requests for CD’s and press kits, including the recently recorded video for “This Time”, both locally and abroad. With a new studio (owned by the band) and more than 30 new songs to choose from, Full Circle is once again hitting the studio to record their new CD and developing what will be a phenomenal stage show to support the new disc. Stay Tuned……..
Press Reviews:
- Catchy Hooks (Sweden): “Full Circle is a band from Denver, Colorado that plays melodic progressive metal a-la Queensryche and Sacred Warrior. Opener "Change" is a nice song with verses that sounds a lot like the mighty Queensryche in their "Empire" days! "All I Need is a great semi-ballad with a catchy chorus... "Walk Away" is back to the progressive stuff again. It's an up tempo rocker that fans of Queensryche will enjoy for sure! I must say that I really like Watson's guitar work. "Tomorrow" is another good acoustic ballad with the typical late 80's sound. "Steal Away the Night" has got a really cool guitar riff that reminds me of the verses on "Don't Stand So Close To Me" that the Police did, but more metal of course. And let's not forget "In the Cold" with a lovely intro a-la Queensryche and both the guitar sound and the vocals by Tommy Krell is pure prog-metal a-la late 80's!”
- Strutter Magazine- “Here's a band from Denver, Colorado playing good old 80's melodic hard rock. Fans of WINGER, DAMN YANKEES, FIREHOUSE, HARDLINE, ETC will appreciate FULL CIRCLE. "Change" and "All I Need" are groovy melodic rockers like late Firehouse. "Walk Away” is a good 80's melodic rocker; "Body Talk" is a groovy hard rock tune. The best song of Full Circle, "Tomorrow", is a great late 90's U.S. mainstream semi melodic rock ballad (hello Damn Yankees and Hardline). "Steal Away is again groovier and "In the Cold" is a very good up tempo melodic rocker in the 80's style (Dokken meets White Lion).”

Before the show Tommy, the lead singer, told me to, “wear a seatbelt.” Boy was I the stupid one for not listening. With my face plastered against the fiberglass casing of the engineering room I was pummeled by the theatrically trained vocals, the fast moving guitars and thundering drums. Perched on either side of the stage were a couple of long hairs toting Ibanez guitars like fully loaded assault weapons ready for a high-noon showdown. With awe-inspiring vocals (despite a cold) and a truly at-home stage presence, Full Circle rocked the House of Rock. Siting inspiration from 80’s legends like Queensryche and Stryper, this band held true to their youthful roots. Toward the end of their show they played a new song that will be on their next CD release (also a showcase performance to be held at the House of Rock, call for details) and lets just say it blew the roof off the mutha. ). |
