Artist History
Itinerant musician and student Dolph moves from Indianapolis to Dayton to Houston to Bloomington to Atlanta, recording incessantly, gigging infrequently, grinning incredulously. Fidelity progresses from neg- to lo- to med- to 44.1, culminating in 1998's CD debut, NEW BIRD RISE. Pop, folk, new wave, and early alt-rock collide, occasionally having something to say, but not complaining too much. From there, the re-migration north to Champaign, then to Chicago, creates some time lag for musical things. In the 4 years since NBR, two hours of release-worthy material have been completed, the first trickle of which appears at mp3.com first -- "Phil The Salmon," 2:30 of existential chop-change from Aisle 11 (between the crackers and the spam). |
