    Artist History
According to Diner Junkies lead vocalist, Dennis Duncan, there is really only one way to play rock and roll - sloppy and loose. The Diner Junkies are back with a vengeance this fall with a new lineup, a new record and a fresh approach to the music that made them one of the most talked about new rock bands this side of the year 2000.Duncan has spent years honing his craft and getting kicked around the music industry learning some hard, but valuable lessons along the way. "I moved to LA in 92 and played in various bands for 3 years. Then I finally found a bunch of low lifes like myself and formed a band called Sister Whiskey. After causing enough shit and controversy on the Strip, we got a record deal on Warner Brothers. We did one record for them and I had a lot of money embezzled from me from various scumbags involved with the production of that record. But I guess that is the price of an education eh?" Duncan formed the Diner Junkies in 1996 in an effort to continue building his rock and roll menu. The group released its Cyber Records debut, Strange Girls, in 1997, and soon embarked on a whirlwind tour of the US. Although the debut single was met with limited radio success, the Diner Junkies ignited a fire with the fans around the nation. This fire is what fueled their desire to make a second record and bring the band to a whole new level musically. The Diner Junkies return to the studio in the Spring of '99 was marked with changes, including a new guitarist, Christian Wojcik, and Boston native, Jay Piccirrillo, who came on board to play bass. The result of the group's studio efforts was Stone's Place, an album that takes the Diner Junkies back to the roots of rock and roll, but with a new-and-improved edge that will be evident upon first listen. The Diner Junkies are planning on unleashing their sophomore release in October 1999, and will launch a tour to coincide with the release which will allow fans to catch The Junkies on the club circuit deep into the new millennium. So, if you are ready to rock Duncan extends a personal invitation.
