Artist description
Playing live a lot on the streets of
Amsterdam and other big cities in Europe.
The band started out as a traditional
klezmer band. Listening to klezmer
led to other eastern european
folk music influences such as Roumenian and Macedonian gipsy
music and also Greek rembetika from earlier this century.
The band writes a lot of the repertoire themselves thus
differentiating themselves from most of the other
Klezmer bands who just play traditional music. |
