Artist History
The story of Autumn War can in some respect trace back to when singer/bassist Jon Reich and drummer John Blum met as schoolmates in a small South Dakota town. Their friendship was formed by a common interest in music, and they soon found themselves playing together in a local band. Towards the end of college, Reich and Blum decided that they would give their music some serious attention and migrated to the Chicagoland music scene.
Always craving the chemistry of a power trio, Reich and Blum were blessed to find Danny Galaxy, a guitarist singer song-writer with whom they bonded musically and personally. Hailing from Aurora Illinois, Danny is the only member of Autumn War who is a Chicagoland native.
Autumn War's unique combination of edgy, groove-based rock with melodic vocal harmony gives them a distinct place in the modern rock arena. Pulling from a variety of influences, Autumn War's music has been compared to an array of bands from Foo Fighters and Lenny Kravitz to Soundgarden and Kings X. It's this integration that allows the band to succeed in appealing to diverse audiences.
Thus far, Autumn War has been actively playing such Chicago area venues as Hard Rock Cafe, Double Door, The Note, Elbo Room, The Bottom Lounge, Oasis One-Sixty, and others, as well as venues in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

"Thoughtful and introspective 'six-song demo' seeks out a demanding listener and begs you check out the band for one of its astonishing live performances." -J. Peterson, Wheaton Record;
