    Artist description
Afrodesiac Bizquik is a quirky, eclectic mix of personalities assembled together by Afro Al in North Carolina and Georgia. From Pop Rocks to crack, the Bizquik does it all using experimental techniques and natural and synthetic instrumentation to produce a sublime cacophony of sound. Sometimes it is not as sublime, but the energy around these maniac monkeys is always electric.

The group started out in 1994 with Carl, Alec and Jeremy jamming out at Carl's place in Savannah, Ga. and making a horrible noise (available soon in mp3 format) and progressed through many personnel changes including the introduction of the Afrodesiac, Spaceboy, and Mr. Bitterness in 1998 (featured on the soon-to-be uploaded album Mountains of Crack), and includes individual work by the Smart Alec himself (available now). Then they all died.

    Press Reviews
Andrew Buchanan, otherwise known as the K.O.I., said of the Bizquik, "Dude, this s**t f**kin' rules, man!" While Eddy T let 'em know that, "Mr. Pemberton bids you, 'Good day' madam." Susan Kim of the I.O.G. was less enthusiastic. "It needs more real instruments," she was overheard to say. But all of them could agree that crunchy is definitely more tasty than creamy. J. Luna of the ceStation: Dark Ambient/Noise says of Hardcore Beats, "Turn your speakers up as loud as you can and blow yer freakin' mind, man."
