Artist History
Xiren’s music is best described in Go-Go Magazine;
“Xiren finds the sweet spot of ambient pop.”
Xiren, a Denver based musician and performer, recently released his second solo album “Bullets & Rainbows.” This album showcases Xiren’s range of talent from the techno sound of “Everything” to the lilting Irish tune “Saoirse” and the entrancing Arabian flavor of “Leave Me.” Available online, at shows and in local music stores, “Bullets & Rainbows” has sold hundreds of copies and has gained critical acclaim from other musicians, music critics and DJs across the country.
Usually performing five to eight times a month, Xiren celebrates his singing and playing ability with a six-piece band featuring co-producer and arranger, Ben Jansen. Together with hard work and professionalism Xiren’s career has moved forward with great momentum. Within a year of his first live solo performance he has been seen on every major local news network NBC, CBS and ABC, He has been featured in most major Denver and Boulder Publications, because of his draw and professionalism he has skipped week night “locals launch” events and been featured immediately in the large weekend band lineups, he has opened for national acts, and currently gets regular airplay nationally.
Xiren’s music has been featured on music web sites like Garageband.com and on many compilations including the 2001 Joe’s Grille Blue Plate Special Sampler. Out of hundreds of submissions three Xiren tracks were selected for the CAM Records Compilation, including his single “Geralyn” as the opening track. In June this year the song “Everything” placed 3rd in their new music top 5 on 88.9 New York, and out of 35,000 entries “Get Your Groove On” was chosen as a finalist for best Dace Track in the “Just Plain Folks Awards.’”
Xiren has been an accomplished musician for over ten years and was previously a member of two successful Detroit-based bands, Painted Glass and Bourbon St. His music is edgy, fun and thought provoking. Xiren’s sound has been likened to such artists as Sting and Peter Gabriel. Through such songs as “Circus” and “Saoirse,” he has been able to showcase his song writing ability and compassion for current events and international happenings.
