Artist description Munkie music contains elements of several different styles, it has been described as a new sub genre of the Downtempo / Techno style. The music sounds similar to Morcheeba, Boards of Canada, Zero 7, David Holmes, Blow Monkeys and Everything but the Girl. Very chilled ambient sounds with a funky "seventies" feel incorporating World / Urban Music influences.

Artist History First got hooked on music at an early age playing the Piano. Progressed to playing guitar and harmonica in my mid-teens and then turntables. Started DJing in my late teens, Recorded some early Rave tunes in a friends studio, released on a white label (Jazzy J) Played guitar and wrote songs for an Indie Rock band. Setup Sunshine Music (production studio) composing and remixing. Formed MUNKIE (in 2000), Kate joined in 2002.
