Artist History Formed in 1992, PRODUCT OF SOCIETY have been intertwining the two genres of Hip Hop and Rock long before it was the "in" thing to do. They built their reputation as a amazing live band playing any or all shows given to them. One chance meeting with Life Of Agony changed the band's fortune, and soon POS was playing places such as The Limelight in NYC and doing select gigs with bands such as LOA, Type O Negative, Public Enemy, Naughty By Nature, and Mighty Mighty Bosstones to name a few. Signed by Mascot Records in 1995, the band released "Schitzophrenagenic" in the Spring of 1996. Though there was critical acclaim for the band and their debut release, the album was not marketed properly and Mascot and Product Of Society parted ways. The experience left a bad taste in the band's mouth. PRODUCT OF SOCIETY took a break from the music business in 1998, but just recently has returned to the stage, and the reaction has been overwhelming! The Product will be recording a new CD in the fall and will continue their plan of World Domination one fan at a time!
