Artist History
Morgan came to New York City from Dayton, Ohio in late 1999 to form the right Rock Group. Through work as a sound engineer at a downtown club, he got his crash course in the music scene and met drummer Jeff Lipstein. They began performing as an acoustic duo until Jeff's longtime musical mate, Fil Krohnengold, brought his Wurlitzer and electric guitars to the murky sub-deli rehearsal place. With the reputation as a safe-haven for an audience demanding great songs, they performed as this trio until they were joined by bassist, Ronnie Smith. Morgan then traded in his Everly Brothers' acoustic guitar for an all electric sound. Now with Fil's Moog synthesizer also on stage, the band creates majestic sounding pop rock with giant choruses and fizzing echo guitars, tastefully contrasted by moments of pin-dropping intimacy, all delivered together with a refreshing air of tongue in cheek. |
