Artist History
Born through the neon arch of Café 1954, The Clamshakers crawled out of the shadow of a six year rock’n’roll pregnancy. Remember The Boppin’ Cowboys. No?. Well, this band was put together by Roger “Cinncinnatti” Arteaga (drums), Mike Segura (guitar) and Bruno “Little King” (vocals). Roger and Mike both former members of The Nu Niles found Bruno performing in the local bars of Barcelona and dreamt up The Boppin’ Cowboys. On Roger’s departure to Holland the two remaining members discovered double bass player Israel Pérez, fresh from his divorce to The Vilator’s Hell. Israel was doing the rounds in Catalonia on the old four strings and was scooped up by the future Shakers. And washed up from the shores of the Fylde Coast , England, Craig “Clamshake” (ex 69 Throwbacks, Bustin’ Bikini Beat, The Delmars.) to take the drummers throne. The birth of The Clamshakers and the beginning of a new era for Rock’n’Roll. Keeping the essential spirit of a semi centuries worth of acts that for some would be hard to follow, The Clamshakers are here to put ants in the pants, fire in the ass and to wake the none shakers. After some gigs in Barcelona and its surroundins they went to Hemsby Festival 26 to play at the Talent Show and among 15 bands they won it with a great aclamattion from the crowd. They can be contacted in English, German, Catalan and Spanish.Mike Segura0034 696981150 e-mail: clamshakers@telepolis.com0034 934303042P.O Box 99010 08080 Barcelona (Spain) |
