Artist History Sandrine was born on the bank of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Growing up in a family where music is just a distant melody, Sandrine finds herself a rebellious passion for piano at age four. Private lessons lead to the Conservatory of Geneva, where Sandrine learns classical piano, solfege and ballet. Classical music leads to keyboard studies in pop and jazz at the ETM school of music. At age nineteen, Sandrine obtains a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, and flies to Boston, to study music production, sound engineering and songwriting. Determined to pursue songwriting, Sandrine discovers New York. There, Sandrine meets Swiss producer and engineer Christian Wicht. Wicht has worked with artists such as Angelique Kidjo, Bernard Lavilliers, Cheb Mami, and The Backstreet Boys, just to name a few. “Pluie d’Images” is their first collaboration. In New York, Sandrine also meets young and talented beat technician and songwriter Summer Kelly. Summer and Sandrine immediately connect. Their love for Electronic music gives this promising songwriting/producing pair the inspiration for “Noir” and the irresistibly catchy “Still Breathing”, as well as other tracks featured at: www.mp3.com/suissemodular.
