Artist description Avant Garde avant la lettre! GARAGE Avant Garde that is! Rotterdam Docks, thE harbour of Europe and we play fat music in our garage?!?! Three blokes with a surprisingly characteristic sound which can be described as a melting-pot of dirty funk, metal, punk, jazz and pop. Disharmonic guitar and bass parts slowly come together and push the audience down on their knees, metaphorically speaking. The music and variety of positive and cynical energy on stage can be compared with bands like Victims Family, Fugazi, Primus, Motorpsycho, Sonic Youth, and No Means No. This trio started making music in 1989; 'recycle rock' in a noisy variety. Their performance should be qualified as extremely dynamic in a musical sense. We use tapes, samples, wires and soundz to add to the music. We are Jazz, we are Noise, we are House, we are very Metal, we are everything but a top40 band; we're musicians and we're gonna pump YOU up!!!
