Press Reviews The one thing that strikes me the most about this album is how Mortiis utilizes modern synthesizers and digital recording equipment to mimic classical instrumentation so effectively. The woodwinds, harpsichord, and piano sound amazingly crisp and resilient even though they are generated by a computer, while the percussion maintains the deep bass tones one would not normally expect from an artificial sound source.
