Artist description
In only a short amount of time, Barefoot Landing has established itself as a premier up and coming group. The shared vision of four very driven musicians has resulted in a sound that blurs the genres of rock, pop, funk, and alternative into a sound all their own.
Since Barefoot Landing began in 1999, the group has called New York City home. Propelled by their love of performing live, Barefoot Landing has kept busy in the past three years traveling to clubs all around the east coast. In both the local clubs of New York City and the well worn stages of numerous college towns, Barefoot Landing continues to push the envelope of their craft. As a result, their live shows have been described as amazing.
Lead guitarist and vocalist Nick C., has been performing in and around New York since the tender age of 16. His moody and smooth vocal style is beautifully complimented by keyboardist Paul Eastwick, whose powerful and clear voice pushes the group's dynamics. Rounding out the group is one of the most intense and talented rhythm sections in music. Bassist Tony Gregory, also a vet of the NYC music scene, lays down deep-pocketed grooves that are seamless with powerful drumming of Bob Diamond, whose fifteen years of jazz training give him the ability to take songs into any direction.
Barefoot Landing is the combination of talent and hard work. The music they create is a sonic painting of four uniquely influenced musicians who all bring their colors to the canvas. The group is set to release their second E.P. in early 2002 on their own label, Elli Records, and tour in support of it this Spring/Summer. |
