Artist History
1st based in Los Angeles, then Austin, Tx. and now Boston,Ma.Trainwreck Ghost played constantly in L.A. at Raji's, The Central, (now the Viper Room), The Anti -Club, Al's Bar, Club Lingerie, Madame Wong's, The Coconut Teaser and many other venues, and in Austin at Liberty Lunch, The Continental Club and The Hole in the Wall among others. They recorded at the famous Venice Beach studio Radio Tokyo, at 6th Street studios in Austin, and on a trusty Teac 4-track in a home garage studio dubbed "Piss Bucket" for it's lack of bathroom facilities.Trainwreck also has an acoustic alter ego as The Holy Boys and perform cajun and country classics as well as originals and Cajun-style covers of post-punk songs like Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart".....Look for The Holy Boys on Mp3.com.
...............The Holy Boys: formed in Los Angeles as the acoustic side project of Trainwreck Ghost members Roger Prescott and Robert Williams because of their love of cajun music, traditional country, and country-blues. They soon added fiddle player Jim Plattes to get a more authentic sound. After recording a few songs at Radio Tokyo in Santa Monica they approached The Anti-Club (a legendary punk rock venue in Hollywood) with an idea to start an all-acoustic night called " The Grand Ole Anti ". Soon the night was a hit at the club and The Holy Boys were regular hosts, putting together shows with other local artists, including Peter Case, Victoria Williams, Dwight Yoacum, Tin Star, The Lonesome Strangers and Rosie Flores to name a few. The Holy Boys continued to play after Trainwreck Ghost moved to Austin and recorded some more tracks with accordian player Ponty Bone and fiddle player Ron Imhoff... for more information on The Holy Boys go to their page on MP3.com
