Artist History
Relayer's stage name was given to him back in 1992.He was on a trip to New Orleans traveling between two other vehicles and relayed messages between them. You see the last vehicle's CB radio couldn't send or recieve much past Relayers vehicle. The name was called out and it stuck since then.Relayer started out his road to music by playing air drums to his favorite records at the age of thirteen. About two years after that, and a newspaper route, he bought his first five piece drum set and started taking lessons to learn how to read the music. In High School, he took Music Theory 1 and 2. While in his first year of Theory, the schools choir director convinced him to try the chorus the following year. During his first year of chorus he qualified to sing in the Jazz Choir. Now the stage was set.In his senior year, he was still in the two choruses and also joined in a band with a fellow classmate. The band's name was Cadis Armana. They wrote all original songs with Relayer co-writing many of them. This was the most influential time for him.He went to college and studied to become a recording engineer. Unforutnately, money ran short and he could only get through one year. |
