REVIEW BY:VICTORIA BOLAND:"We're kind of partial to songs with minor chords and unusual chord progressions, so this song grabbed us pretty quickly. But not before we were thrilled by the great guitar work and interesting harmonies that somehow captured the loneliness of an Aussie outback setting...and why not? These guys are from Australia ... G'day mates!!"
REVIEW BY MORGAN LANE: This band has it all, pure heart and soul poured into each and every song of their's. I had a really hard time picking what song to choose, I love all of them! This song just like the rest of them are all played beautifully, have honest lyrics and the best vocals and harmonies I've heard on mp3 yet! You must go listen to more of this bands music or you will be cheating yourself out of hearing amazing talent, and songs that leave you feeling very peaceful. CD: throw me a bone - Buy It!

"Thorns" proves to me that you guys are a world class act. Love that acoustic sound! Great texture and feel. The dynamics are subtle, but they have an impact. Tasteful music. Well done!

EEW is one of my favorite bands on the net. I have them posted on my staion. The music this trio produces is a credit to Australia. I love their vocals, the guitar work is outstanding, and the drumming moves me. Hell they rock and I love to rock! Check them out, Australia's come a long way since the Bee Gees!!

Lots of tracks featured on this successful and popular artists web site. I listened to "Relinquishing Control" very mellow and laid back accoustic tune. I like the flow and the feeling. Talented guys. PEACE!

These guys certainly know how to play their guitars. A trio playing twelve string, six string and lapsteel guitars with vocals and remaining balanced, is quite an accomplishment.
Lost in St. Kilda is an enjoyable song. Having lived in St. Kilda myself I would have liked to have heard some sounds from Luna Park and perhaps a little of the ice skating rink (that is no longer there). Definitely an easy listening piece for everyone to enjoy. Well done.

Emmett Etheredge and Webb offer many great tracks on their page!!! They have mastered the Acoustic sound with great tunes. I particularly liked Thorns & Friend of Mine. The melodies of these tunes stood out... and their harmonies in general add a special touch!! And I especially like the fact that they dedicate songs to their wives!!!
Reference ID : 991438039Title : Emmett, Etheredge And Webb Join The ModernWorldRelated Site URL : http://mp3.com/eewCategory : International-News:AustralianText : Who says country means plain and simple? Australian country band Emmett, Etheredge and Webb have decided to enter the internet to try and raise their exposure to an international audience. After making two successful Albums in 2000 (self-titled and Throw me a Bone) and touring Australia extensively, the band decided that they would offer both albums FREE! on the internet(check out the link below as well)if you like you can also purchase the CD's cheaply from the website and they will either be shipped to you by mail or you can download the CD directly from the web. The reason the band is doing this is so that they might get themselves a record management deal(or anything else the net may provide) so check it out, recommend it to your friends and listen to some of the most original Australian new country music to ever hit the scene(by a totally independent unsigned act). We will be following the bands progress and keeping you up to date as to how they are going so stay tuned |
