Press Reviews
Bloody knuckled trucker metal by a bunch of bad asses in Venom t-shirts. Like Fu Manchu, all their songs are about cars. I think 'Riding Shotgun' might have a whole different meaning to the Accident, though. Alcohol burning white trash metal. Not to be fucked with - Sleazegrinder, Last of the Rock n Roll Motherfuckers (www.sleazegrinder.com) *** The Accident - Self Titled CD There's no reason to beat around the bush. This is straight up, beer
drinking, head bobbing rock and roll. No pretentions. No bullshit. As soon as
the disc starts, it doesn't stop rocking your ass until the very last second.
If you aren't in a complete spastic frenzy spilling your beer all over the
place and dropping the roach you were trying to hold in your other hand on
the floor by the time 'Thunderclap' hits, then you're not human and you're
definitely no friend of mine. This disc will kick your ass and make a man out
of you just yet, son. So if you can only jump on one band wagon this year,
make sure it's The Accident's. Rock out. -- Mike Dikk (confederatemack.com) *** These 5 rockers are the shit. Taking all kinds of musical influences with them along the way, every track is different, from AC/DC sounding to a Clutch type feel. Production on this 8 song ep is great, the band left no stone unturned in producing a great little ep. The band is a straight up rock outfit with heaps of hooks that keep your head banging from start to finish. I recomend this cd to everyone out there. 9.5/10
-- Matt Frighetto (HighBeamMusic) *** Southern' fried US badass rock. Reminds me of Nashville Pussy/Unband/Boulder. Good down home ass kickin', I say. Intense lyrics and groove. Nice, short arrangement. Two Up. -- Eric Bridenbaker (www.ericbridenbaker.com) *** That fuggin' rocked. The guitars came in hard and funky, great guitar sound. Some really cool arrangements where the bass started low and came up while the guitar started high and came down. The drums were solid all the way through. And the vocals tore a hole in me. Killer voice and badass lyrics. I like the way he atatcks a melody line, kind of similar to Rollins, good stuff. The recording quality was also really good. And overall this had me bouncing up and down, rockin' out. Keep the blows comin'.
-- garageband.com *** If Black Sabbath came from middle America instead of Britain, they might have sounded like the Accident. -- Tyson Thurston (GeekAmerica.com) *** The Accident were also featured artists in the OC WEEKLY (www.ocweekly.com) |
