Artist History Rockfish Crossing By Bob Agnoli ... Rockfish Crossing (formaly The Dharma Bums) came together through a series of eerie coincidence that on the surface appear unrelated. My dream to play music began as a youngster doing Pete Townsend windmill air guitar in my room to my parents cheers of, 'Knock it off, will ya!'. My wife, whom I meet in college, has a minor in music and has been a supporter (as well as co-conspirator) in this dream. Originally we began as a trio, my wife Michelle, my friend and fellow social worker, Lanetta, and myself. On occasion we would get together, play guitar and sing a little with aspirations of hitting coffeehouses with our blend of acoustic folk-rock. Lanetta had a social work intern (now a social worker) who also sang and wanted to join the group. Laurie brought the added harmonies. Lanetta has since relocated but when she is in town she will join us for shows. The final addition came with J.R. I met him in the local Home Depot parking lot when he asked me if lived on our shared street and if I played guitar because 'I looked like a guitar player'. J.R. brought with him the vision that we were missing. He had a lot of musical miles under his belt and with his assistance the group came together very quickly. His wife is also a social worker. We had chosen our original name, The Dharma Bums, because Dharma means truth and that is what music is all about.
