Artist description
All of us are tall and thin. Chuckles has long, wavy 70s hair. |
 |
Music Style
The tension of the band pulls it in three directions. Chuckles-toward blues. Stephen-toward melodic acoustic folk. Kit-provides the sophistication by his musical training and also likes an alternative sound. Since Operation: Couch is Chuckles' band, it usually leans toward blues. |
 |
Musical Influences
Chuckles-3 favorites are Van Halen (David Lee Roth), Aerosmith, and Led Zeppelin, but is rapidly moving toward blues. Kit-listens to a lot of classical and U2. Stephen-loves the Beatles and Oasis. |

..."but we ARE popular artists"... ...the blues sounds a little like the old gravelly-voiced blues artists (Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters). Other songs seem to defy classification. |

Artist History
Chuckles was given a chance by good friend, Andru Bemis, to have a 30 minute spot to showcase his songs. For this he enlisted good friend Stephen for guitars and roommate Kit for drums. After a month and a half of once a week practices, they put on a show. Since then, Stephen has gone back to California, and Chuckles is putting the band on hold while he casually searches for a blues-based guitarist to fill the void. May also look for a bass player. Where are we from? Chuckles-Huguenot, NY originally, Wheaton, IL temporarily, Kit-some island in Washington state originally (for those of you trivia buffs, the island is the smae where the military base is that the American hostages in China were from who were released in April of 2001.), Wheaton, IL currently, Stephen-Belgium originally, Sacramento, CA currently (I think). The band was formed in Wheaton, IL. |

Group Members
Brent "Chuckles" Brollier; Christopher "Kit" Mills; Stephen Sequeira; For the show, Paul Rose also appears for the final song, "Bowie Knife Blues". |

Instruments
Chuckles has messed around also with a washboard and once played a song with some kind of organ part. He played French Horn for a year and a half in Elementary school. Kit is a trained musician and I'm not sure all the the others he's messed with. He can play guitar and is currently trying to learn violin from his girlfriend. Stephen is also gifted as a musician. He can at least play piano-type instruments, but I am unaware of anything else he can do, but would not be surprised at anything. |
 |
Albums
Other than the current "You Heard it Here First", Stephen was working on a solo project, and was involved with Johnny O and the Jivin' Jeepsters. |

Press Reviews
I'm really tired of the press. They always ask questions the answers of which I don't care to know. It's also depressing. Not as depressing as my life, but hey you still wouldn't want to be kicked in the crotch just because you'd been hit by a car, would you? |
