Artist description
The Silver Tears Motto: If you think it's too loud...turn it LOUDER! Silver Tears was an explosive, energetic, young band that blended rock, metal, and alternative styles together with looks and superb musicianship to create their own brand of hard-edged rock. The band was formed in the summer of 1990 in Waukon, Iowa. Since that time, they accumulated a loyal following of fans in their native Northeastern-Iowa/Southwestern-Wisconsin area. This was accomplished by their energetic attitude, wide variety of musicianship, song writing abilities, and powerful and interactive stage performances. Silver Tears never restricted themselves to only one type of rock, but instead played a diversity of styles, adapting to each particular audience as needed at each show. If it was alternative, grunge, classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, or just plain old rock, they most certainly did it! They were continuously expanding their list of covers and always composing more original material. Silver Tears always "let the music do the talking". The members have played at many different places ranging from bars, clubs, and concert halls to parties and fund raisers. Silver Tears, in fact, has played in nine states touring and opening for other national acts. They were always open to something new. With the release of their debut album "Dirty Dogs" (#2-39053) on Metro Records out of Minneapolis, Minnesota they quickly became one of the hottest acts in the Northeastern-Iowa/Southwestern-Wisconsin area. Silver Tears also had a record distribution deal with Perris Records out of Austin, Texas. Perris distributes CD's and cassette tapes to 1000's of stores world-wide. Their were even over-seas orders shipped for Sweden, Japan, Italy, Brazil and England! Silver Tears unfortunatly broke up on June 7, 1997 after their last gig in Farmersburg, Iowa. Silver Tears was exciting to watch as they were to listen to! They were and always will be five talented artists/musicians doing what they do best---making solid, hard-driving music. God Bless Ya!
