Press Reviews
Fronted by the dreamy femme-vocals of Rachel and backed by propulsive drum pounding, EA fill the in-between spaces with melodies that soar to the stratosphere, chugging and pulsing like a freight train that emits a trail of iridescent sparks as it powers through the night. They follow firmly in the early-nineties footsteps of groups like My Bloody Valentine and Ride, and hark even further back to the space-rock of Hawkwind or Cluster. EA’s romantic, just-barely-decipherable lyrics and hugely theatrical music make for a level of genuine emotional intensity you don’t get in music too much these days. This is the kind of music that can carry you through a bad breakup, or turn an uneventful cross-country drive into one long moment of revelation. It is also, in less unusual times, the perfect accompaniment to a trip into mental inner spaces of contemplation and pretty patterns of firing neurons. ~ Audiogalaxy.com |
