Artist History
I've been writing acoustic music for about 17 years. In 1992, I started the somewhat successful, aggressive electronic project A Different Kind of Cop (http://www.mp3.com/adkoc) -- this is the stuff that I do when I'm not doing that. |

Press Reviews
Tim and His Guitar - "Sitting In The Middle Of An Empty Room". That's it. That's the review. That's the album. I'm done. Well, not quite, but I figured I'd try to match understatement for understatement. To put the magnitude of the minimalism represented here in perspective, you have to understand that the "Tim" referred to as owning the guitar is also responsible for harsh electro-industrial project A Different Kind Of Cop (also reviewed on The Edge On-Line). With his side project, he has gone unplugged and stripped away the electronic trappings. There are no keyboards with funky letters and numbers in their name, no computers with sound effect software, just Tim and his guitar... sitting in an empty room... and probably a chair... and maybe a microphone... but that's it. There's nothing else to look at, nothing to focus on. Even the name of the project is representative of its nakedness. People are fascinated by what lies below the surface, as evidenced by the success of Unplugged albums, Behind The Scenes exposés, and Reality TV shows. By releasing an album without his usual effects and distortion to hide behind, Tim has exposed himself for what he really is: just a guy expressing himself musically with a raw and honest integrity... - Chad Renando (The Edge Online Radio), for the entire review: http://www.theedgeradio.com/catalog/CDTemplate.cfm?SelectedCD=449 |
