Artist History
Papichulo Entertainment's first single 'El Monumento', performed by Shadow, was released in Canada late 1997. The single was well-received by college, multi-cultural, and dance music radio stations despite being recorded entirely in Spanish. The video was also released and by February 1998, this Miami Bass style pop/dance track peaked to #1 on Much Music's international video show 'Clip Trip'. 'El Monumento' was also nominated for a Much Music Video Award in the Best Dance Video category in 1998. The second single and video, We're What U Want, was released in June 1999 and a promotional EP released (in Canada only) on August 3, 1999. The Papichulo Crew has performed with some of the largest international Latin artists. They have been featured on several television shows and performed at some of Canada's most prestigious venues including Skydome, Ontario Place, Canada's Wonderland, Mel Lastman Square, Toronto Exhibition, etc. "Mojaito" is the Papichulo Crew's first album. It not only features the Papichulo Crew's Shadow and Shantall but also features two songs by rap recording artist Bomba from the Latino Allstars (also part of the Papichulo Entertainment family). There are 18 slamming tracks with one track, 'Trippin', in a full Spanish and English version. The album contains songs ranging from underground to commercial Hip Hop tracks, dance/pop tracks, a reggae track, and a ballad. All of the songs have Latin elements, and they're all HOT! |
