Press Reviews
Falstaff - Streetcar Giant - 4 Stars -"Falstaff is a very professional sounding 5 piece band from Virginia Beach, VA. This full length CD shows Falstaff's absolutely unclassifiable sound. Combining a quick paced, upbeat feel with mostly clean guitars, this band bridges across several musical styles. There is a taste of rock, and blues, plus the unique addition of a steel pedal guitar on some tracks. With 3 people sharing duties singing, this band has a beautiful, rich vocal ensemble not found in most rock bands. I particularly like track 5, titled "Even When I'm High", that has a feel similar to the Gin Blossoms."Dave Magnuson -- www.indiemusicsite.com - From AudioGalaxy.com - Cheery, fun, and infectious pop-rock that doesn't need to hug a trend to be appreciated. Does what great rock should, encompassing a mix of emotions too complex to explain in words-happy, nostalgic, bittersweet, sunny. Top-notch. |
