Artist History
b. Clyde Gordon Carlton Jr., August 8, 1962 in Richmond, Virginia; Buzz Carlton was influenced by a variety of styles and artists. In the early 1980s, Carlton began writing songs and touring the East Coast. In 1989 and 1990, he performed the National Anthym for the Richmond Braves baseball games. In 1990, he moved to Nashville, TN. to be closer to the business of songwriting. Carlton has concert appearances, as well as television and radio air play to his credit. In 2001, he was signed with Milestone Records. In the wake of the September 11th terrorist attack, he wrote and recorded "Freedom of Speech", his initial project at Milestone Records. In 2002, Milestone Records released an album of his original songs entitled "Blame it on the Blues." "Freedom of Speech" was included, along with "That's a Lot" and "Blame it on the Blues", to be the first single to come off of the album. His biography is published in "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who in the World". His records are in stock at the following Richmond area locations: Tower Records (Willow Lawn), Barns & Noble (Libbie Place), and Plan 9 Records(Cary St.) Carlton now resides in his home town. |
