Artist description
TiGG's notoriously experimental waves come from the mind of Steve Harris (And yes, he knows there are 4000 Steve Harris' out there. He's not them.) Never, in any writtings will you see him saying that he's a normal human being. He is far from that. Strange, weird, out there, crazy; all verbs used to describe him... and he likes it that way. His quirky nature is ever evident in his music which all started in late 1999 ("Gonna party like...") in a small town in Newfoundland called Carbonear. Inspired by the local music scene (BayRock) TiGG took his computer and began training himself to produce some music. Using a variety of free programs found on the internet and a neverending supply of crazy clips recorded on a Microcasette player, TiGG pumped out his first local release album "Birth of Local Possum". Very few copies were given away.
After discoving the online music community, which came a short while after his first release, TiGG grew emensly and began experimenting even more. His ever quest to produce music that is far from normal has began to pay off. With releases like "Ossokmanuan" (which features some songs with lyrics) and "A.K.A Fakon", TiGG has learned how to give the listeners a royal (pardon the french) mind fuck.
Now, 3 years later, the producer/writer/musician is at his highest peek. Because of the internet and it's ever growing music scene, TiGG has learn't the ropes and has produced his best compilation of works yet, "The Life and Death of Scarlett Ridge". His medicuouls mastering, remastering and re-remastering over the course of 2002 has payed off with a much talked about sound that will soon invade you all.
Who knows what the future holds for this kind of sound.
Some notes: Steve Harris was born in Churchill Falls, Labrador on October 13th, 1978 (Friday the 13th). He currently resides in Gander, Newfoundland and is pursuing a career as an actor. |
