Artist History started in the summer of 1999 as jillian tully's solo studio project with her engineer/musician friend paul kimbrel, rainy day assembly is named after a song written by former sixpence none the richer guitarist and solo artist tess wiley. in today's world of teenaged pop stars, it might not seem too odd that at only 21, jillian's paid quite a few of her showbiz dues. from her start at 16 in a jersey shore cover band to her community theatre roles and work as a session singer for a couple of new york hitmakers, jillian's seen a fair amount of the music business. in 1998, her 3-song demo, "far away from here", caught the attention of more than a couple industry minds. unhappy with the slick production of the songs and the quick pace in which her lyrics had matured and changed, she turned down the pop offers and set to work on a project that would be completely her own, even if it that meant being less successful.for the past year, jillian and paul have been working on the rainy day assembly project, entitled "someone else's story", which is currently in post-production. she describes the music as "semi-ethereal jangle pop, heavy on the britrock and new wave". the ep contains 5 songs that range from acoustic to ambient, and all the songs were written and produced by jillian herself, with arrangement help from the band.the band members have gone their separate ways, but jillian has relocated to her home in new jersey, and hopes to have a new band by the release of the cd.

Group Members currently the assembly is merely jillian tully, who provides the voice, pen, paper, and occasional guitar.
