Artist description General Mayhem! is pouring down on upstate NY, saturating the local music scene with a soul-searing crescendo of sound. From the shaking of the floors, to the glow of lighters held high, General Mayhem! brings the music to life every time they perform. Chris maintains a consistent and driving force on the drums, Mike plays the funky hell out of his bass, and Corey provides solid rhythm support. Quality sound at live performances is maintained by George Rodenas. Fronting the band, Lisa and Erik's powerful and expressive tones give solid lead vocal performances and work in perfect harmony with each other as backing vocals. But undoubtably, it is Erik's vision that brings all of these components together to create the raw, all-consuming presence that is General Mayhem! With a diversified folio of musical influences centering around Stevie Ray Vaughn and Angus Young, his lead and rhythm guitar style is delivered with an unrestrained, soulful power that completes the pieces of this puzzle. After years of local live performances and numerous requests from friends, family and their FANS, General Mayhem! began work on their first CD, tentatively titled "Pouring Down", in March 2001. The band plans to have the CD completed and ready for distribution by late summer or early fall 2001. Crowd response to the first samples from the CD has provided a giant boost to the band's confidence, and they are quickly exceeding their original forward momentum.
