The Capriccioso Chamber Ensemble Brasil is one of the few professional orchestras in Brasil organized as a cooperative - with musicians controlling all artistic aspects of the orchestra. has distinguished itself as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. Founded in 2000 by James Strauss , the ensemble derives its name and inspiration from Richard Strauss' Capriccio. One of the few musical organizations in the world that commissions new works for each of its subscription concerts, CCE brings together outstanding young musicians and emerging composers. All our mucisians play’s in importants orchestras in Europe, USA and Brazil.The Sao Paulo-based ensemble presents unique concerts where new commissions and rarely heard works are programmed side-by-side with masterpieces of the standard repertoire.
