Artist History
STOKE made its debut by releasing a full-length album and playing varied shows in the Summer of 2001. We continued the campaign through 2002 playing a few gigs per month in a wide variety of settings, garnering with great press for the album and shows. Our debut album was recorded at Vogville Studios with Jonathan Fluevog at the helm and Karl Derkson assisting. Mastering was done by Craig Waddell (Sarah McLachlan, Fear Factory, Metalwood, 98-Degrees) and is available via the band and in area record stores. A new album will be released in Summer of 2003 and some surprises will follow. Write us at for further details, bookings, etc. - stokerock@hotmail.com or click the "Contact" link above.

Press Reviews
"The guitars are equal parts stoner-rock sluggishness and slow-burn noodling, the drums crash in at all the right places, the bass throbs like an infected finger, and Macaulay sounds like his middle name is 'Young, Bored, and Snotty'. Pound back a six pack of Black Label and crank the stereo up until the speakers smoke. Need more of a recommendation?" - Mike Usinger, The Georgia Straight.
