Artist History
Formed in late 1999 by wade quackenbush,
it started out as an experiment but after
recruiting Jammie Lee on Keyboards/Bass and
Joe Ferris on Drums, it turned into a british
rock/Emo/Jam Band. In 2001 Sleepercab Methlab
Began recording a new cd but was side tracked by
problems within the band and outside. The location
of Vicksburg, MS barely even supported bands especially
wouldn't support the strange yet intimate sounds of
sleepercab methlab. Also singer/songwriter/guitar, Wade
Quackenbush moved to New Orleans, LA and the rest of the
band stayed behind, so to give a big farewell 'fuck you'
to the city of vicksburg, they played an acoustic show to
and release a collection of acoustic demo's plus played
River City Rocks II and jammed only five songs for one whole
hour. Now the band is back to just one member
and is one a hiatus, the original songwriter,
Wade. but rumours have been floating about for a
renion show. so who know what the future will hold
for sleepercab methlab, but i do know that Wade will
continue writing music and will stil call it sleepercab
methlab, but until a new band is found or the old
one relocates to New Orleans, i doubt any lives show
will be scheduled.
Near the end of 2001 Sleepercab Methlab was finally
put to rest by the founding member, Wade Quackenbush.
He has moved to New Orleans, and plans on starting
another band... no word on the style of music, but we do
know that it will remain a one man band. |
