Artist History
Guitarist/songwriter Larry Evans moved from Jacksonville, FL to Laurel, MS in 1992. He soon began his quest to establish a band that reflected the musical roots of Blues and Classic Rock while conveying the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Larry met Curtis Pitts, a local young talented drummer/vocalist in August of 1992. They soon discovered that they had similar musical interest and began searching for other individuals who also shared their interests in music and love of Christ. They failed to find many who were influenced by the same music they loved, Blues and Classic Rock, especially other Christians.
However, in 1993, they met up with a well-established local talent named Robby Sumrall. A multi-faceted musician, his greatest talents consisted of playing bass guitar and providing superb harmony vocals.
Jeremiah Creed was born. In this form, the band recorded three projects. The latest album is entitled one and is on the independent RMR label.
The band has endured changes along the way. In 1999, Frank Smith (formerly of Half-Eaten Jonah) replaced Robby as bassist. The year 2000 brought Curtis' brother Casey Pitts into the band as keyboardist. In mid-2001, Frank felt God's calling to pursue other interests and Casey stepped in to become the third Jeremiah Creed bassist. The band is currently working on their fourth project, Kineo, scheduled for release soon.

Press Reviews
It "was the noisiest thing I ever heard. It was so loud I couldn't really understand what he was saying."
Wait, that's what Sen. Jesse Helms said about Bono and U2. But we've had the same thing said about us.
So I guess in a way, we've been compared to U2. |
