Artist History Phil and Jamie started a band called DFA and got their cousin Matt to play bass. They later changed their names to the Elks and played a couple shows. Then Phil ducked out on a show and Elks got Chris to play for the night. Chris became permanent. The Elks played a couple shows and were banned from their high school's local band night.
