Artist History Chris was born in New Orleans and raised in the small country town of Folsom, LA. Chris began singing when he was only six years old when he and his sister would entertain family and friends. Chris sang every chance he got.Chris joined the US Navy in 1989 and during the following six years, realized his place in music. Chris sang and played guitar throughout technical school and it soon became THE major entertainment for his fellow servicemen and women. This was a nightly event and other artists came out of the woodwork to perform with Chris. Crowds would gather and listen for hours. While stationed aboard the USS Missouri during the war with Iraq, Chris and his band, Steel Beach, kept the morale up for fifteen hundred sailors. He played all around the world at ports in Australia, Tasmania, Hawaii and many Arab ports.Chris has won several awards including the California Country Music Association's 1995 Vocal Group of The Year and Male Vocalist of The Year. He was also one of six national finalists out of over 100,000 contestants in the True Value/Jimmy Dean Country Music Showdown.
