Artist History
BSI began in 1985 in Washington DC. Encountered the local experimental underground (Stolen Government Binder Clip, New Carrollton, 1348, Psychodrama)...Began performing live In 1988; loud, random dynamic blasts of noise. Formed the cassette label GAUZE and released several BSI albums and two compilations of DC noise. By 1991, BSI began to explore more ambient spaces and difficult minimalism. In 2000, remastered the best of ten years' worth of cassettes at BEWARE OF DOG STUDIOS for a retrospective CD to be released on the CONTORTED label. The new album (supple supple) is still in the oven, and turning a lovely shade of golden brown... As of Winter 2002, recording has begun on another new CD, "subferal". |
