Artist description
Well, lets see. We can be described as a rockin' out, but at the same time layed back. Some songs were acoustic and we just decided. "Hey, lets rock these songs out with distortion." We switch instruments a lot depending on who wrote what, and who feels comfortable playing what for that song. |

If you smashed all of our influences into one super band, you'd get a band that sounds like us maybe..... I dunno. Maybe we are that super band? |

Artist History
Started awhile ago, back on a cold winters day..... Well some month in winter. Anyways, Matthew walked up to me one day in school asked if I wanted to play in a band with Rob and him and that was the beginning. We worked hard, wrote some songs, recorded some demos (A few of which can still be downloaded on the main page) and then set to work on an actual decent sounding album. After a few months of recording, re-writing, scraping, fighting with rival bands, re-writing again, fighting for a recording device, and re-recording we came out with Koopa Troppa Carpool. I forget how we came up with the name, but that's what it was. Thinking about it now, damn that's a stupid name, but oh well. Anyways, now Rob has currently left the band and moved across the country. Someday we hope to re-unite with our fellow turtle and write some more rockin' music. Until then, The Racing Turtles will have to carry on without Rob. Andrew Mast joined the band when he moved back to Gander from Nova Scotia and has fit in nicely with myself and Matthew. The recording has once again begun, first with The Little Mermaid Is My Girlfriend E.P. and now we are currently working on our second full-length album entitled Halfway Between The Moon & Not The Moon. The date is May 15, 2002 and we are about halfway through the recording process. Several songs are finished, and several others are posing problems or just haven't been started yet. Check back later for another update. |

Maybe a bit of Nerfherder? I dunno!--Jared House"|"We switch sex toys a lot, depending on who likes what pleasure most in each sex scene, or who likes dildo's."--Lee Drover|"The Racing who?"--Justin Avery|"The Racing Turtles rock. (Their) music isn't like everyone else and they do play awesome music. That Justin guy is pretty hot too."--Ashley Harris| |
