Artist History
The Dan K. Theory formed in late 1999 after guitarist/singer/songwriter Dan Roth stepped off the road as tour manager for Blueground Undergrass, where he had spent most of the previous year running around with the "Psychedelic Hick-hop Blues" band from Atlanta. Dan had known bassist/singer/songewriter Tommy Jones from many a live show and the two had soon hooked up to play acoustic shows in and around the Athens area. Drummist/singer/songwriter Bill Bokas rounded out the trio with a solid backbeat. The band has been performing throughout the Athens/Atlanta area and will soon embark on touring in the Southeastern US.Currently, the band is finishing work on their debut CD for indie label Root Cellar Records, home to BGUG. |
