Artist History NOX INTEMPESTA was founded back in 1994 by Mordra and Tyrann, who were close friends by 1990 playing in the same band at that time. The music they wanted to come up with had to be the purest BLACK METAL. The choice of two giants was made - the conquering had begun. In this line up they recorded their first and only two demos “A GRIM RED KISS OF TRANSYLVANIA” and “MAJESTIC SCARLET NOVA” in that same year. After signing to FOLTER Rec. in 1997, “DIE LIEDER VON TOD UND EWIGKEIT” („Songs of Death and Eternity“) was the first official release to come up that same year. NOX INTEMPESTA became famous for their soul-freezing melodies but as far as they came with “DIE LIEDER …”, they recognized it was as far as they could get as a duo, because live appearences were impossible to realize. The first new member to join was drummer Holocaust and close to the upcoming recording sessions, bassplayer Monastiir joined the group and the line up was completed.In 1998 the second manifestation was done. For a change most keyboards were dropped and the result was an aggressive, brutal and hellish fast output full of unrelenting hatred entitled “DE VERMIS MYSTERIIS” (“Mysteries of the Worm”). Still in the same year of 1998 the first full-length album called “DAMNANUS DOMINUM” came to being. This time NOX INTEMPESTA chose the well known german producer Harris Johns, to profit of his skills. While the critiques for “DE VERMIS MYSTERIIS” were very good they blew away everyone at the NOX-camp this time. Especially a french `zine wrote the impressive, following lines: “ NOX INTEMPESTA are the nails that fix Jesus on the cross and that`s for sure, with nails of this kind he will never return!!! “As by March 1999 still wasn`t decided if FOLTER REC. wanted to produce the new output of the band ( their contract was fullfilled and FOLTER went bust ), they took the weekend of that same month to produce a four track promo cd called “TODESKULT (“Deathcult”) - fast blowing, technical and even more brutal than the old stuff.Nearly one year later, NOX INTEMPESTAs second full length album, entitled “AGGESTUM ARMAGEDDON” (“Upraised Armageddon”) was recorded. Rehearsing up to six times a week it was nearly summer in the next millenium when NOX INTEMPESTA got ready with their new material.
