Artist description
GWA blends Prince, Pink Floyd and The Beatles into a new drink called, "I Can Move To That". Hard Rock Candy Sandwich is a Limited Edition EP available at www.GWAmusic.com. It will be followed by Frogs Don't Have Teeth (August 26, 2003), then Built For A Speedo, the Demo CD for GWA (October 21, 2003). All three will be self-released. The genre is Rock. Specific songs fall into either Pop/Rock, Experimental Rock or Alternative Dance. There's a slot for GWA in the Top 40 charts. The sound is upbeat with plenty of hooks and most tracks should be a natural for the dance floor. The full-length debut will be Chapped Laps, available Winter, 2003. |

Artist History
GWA is fronted by the American recording artist Gary Allen. Gary was raised in Southeast Texas in the concrete jungle melting-pot of the "boomtown on the bayou". Houston was Gary's home until his move to Northeast Texas, where he now writes and records in a whirlwind equal to the prolific fury of Picasso. GWA's appeal is with the college-aged crowd who want to get up, shake and sing along. GWA's tracks have solid back beats and killer rhythms that are guaranteed to get your attention. Gary's melodies are memorable and even catchy; which means you'll be singing along. |

Song Reviewed: "Cassie Won't Ya?"
My first impression of Cassie... is that it has a very southern rock feel. Starts out with percussion and then adds some electric piano/synth sounds which are very pleasing to the ear. The lyrics are very catchy and honestly fit the music perfectly. The song is over 5 minutes long, which is rather lengthy in my opinion, but shows this artists music abilities. I won't take points off for the recording, since it isn't too bad, but the song would be great if it had that great studio sound. The string sound near the end is a great addition (I didn't remember hearing it at any other point in the song). It has a great fade-out at the end as well.
I'll admit that by the end of the song I was singing along. It's so darn catchy! And you could even dance to it. Cassie Won't Ya? won't be everyones cup of tea but this guy has talent. I'm bookmarking GWA in hopes of future material. Song rating: 4 out of 5 stars
(Can't wait to hear more)
