Artist History
Freebus is a Chicago-based singer/guitarist who has been performing throughout the Chicagoland area and greater Midwest since 1988. He got his start playing at clubs and festivals in the mid-Michigan area while in attendance at Michigan State University. Shortly after graduation in 1989, Freebus moved to Chicago where he has continued his pursuit of music. From 1993 to 2001, Freebus led several prominent Chicago groups including Food Chain and Kentucky Jelly. Since early in 2001, Freebus, though still recording with Kentucky Jelly, has begun focusing on a solo career. His first solo performance in July of 2001 was a huge success and work was begun in earnest on his second release, "Songs About Fishing". The album was completed in January 2002 and is slated for release in March. Some of these songs are already available here at www.mp3.com. |
