Artist description Seeking members for hard rock/metal with some funk + blues + punk + rockabilly Guitarist looking to form new band from the ground up. I potentially already have a drummer lined up but that depends on how things work out.I'd like to try to integrate hard rock, metal, funk, blues, a bit of punk and rockabilly into energetic, fast, edgy music but with great vocals that make agressive music more pallatable to the average non-musician.I'm looking for people who are willing to be constructively critical and critiqued in the writing process so that every song is a winner. Everyone should be able to participate in writing and arranging. Need not be a theory master but should know how to describe and understand chords and keys in order to exchange ideas. You should be proficient on your instrument. Everyone should have pro gear & transportation. No druggies, flakes, or drama. Late 20's to early 30's.Goal: This is not a professional situation, yet. My goal is to get a great set of music and gig locally in the SF bay area. If bigger opportunities arise it would be a bonus, but I am pursuing this for the love of music and fun of performing.Practice schedule: Your work/social schedule should allow for regular rehearsals once or twice a week. Me: Guitarist of 12 years with pro gear and home recording studio. Also play drums and a little bass.My Influences: Chili Peppers, STP, Alice in Chains, Brian Setzer, Green Day, I Mother Earth, Old Metallica & Megadeth, King's X, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Maiden, Satriani.Specifically looking for: - 2nd guitar player to share leads. Keyboard ability would be a plus but this is primarily a guitar band. - Bass player should have great tone! I like King's X meets Flea. Gotta have that funk to fill this slot. - Drummer should be energetic and creative and tight with a bassist.- Vocalist must have strong voice, good range, a real singing voice.
