Artist description The Revenants are a band from Louisville, KY that began around 1997. The band is well known locally and in surrounding areas for their music, as well as their extreme stage shows which have included things like ghoulish facepaint, jumping out of coffins covered in live worms, throwing live maggots, leeches and blood at the audience, onstage ritual curses, blood baptisms, dramatic entrances complete with black robes, candles, and demonic invocations, chainsaws, huge animal skeletons, black roses, drinking from gasoline cans, bible shreddings and burnings, hearts dripping with blood, and much more.The music has been described as having punk, metal, classical or even gothic influences. While the Revenants are all of this, they are at the same time none of it. With thick, ripping, driving guitars and drums, rich vocals, and atmospheric organs, this band is not quite like any other.
